Canadian TVAlice appears to be the subject of a show called "Star! Close-up" this coming saturday in Canada although I`m not quite sure what channel it might be on. "E" possibly or maybe "CityTV" if that`s a channel. It'll be on at 7am anyway and repeated at 2.30pm. It's listed here New Alice Cooper Book!!
More UK ShowsTicketmaster is now showing two more shows. Birmingham NEC on 9th November and Sheffield Hallam Arena on the 15th November. On sale 21st January. Newcastle appears on TicketmasterTicketmaster seems to be having some strange problems. The Newcastle show mentioned below IS up there but you won't find it using a search for either "Alice Cooper" or anything else at thier site. Instead, go to http://www2.ticketmaster.co.uk, then click "rock & pop", and look a little way down the list. You'll find all three shows we've reported listed including Newcastle on 13th November with an 'on sale' date of 21st January. UK Tour!!Ticketmaster are listing a UK shows at Brighton Center on November 5th and Cardiff CIA on the 7th November with support from Twisted Sister. No confirmation if this is correct yet but it does fit in with the info I`ve been told previously. Tickets aren't on sale yet (Jan 19th). For some reason a search on ticketmaster doesn`t show the Brighton gig, but you can use this link, not that there`s much extra info there. UPDATE: Newcastle Arena said to be 13th November Last Nights Xmas PuddingThanks to Mistershivers on the message baord fro this report of last nights fun and games: Just got back from the show. 4 1/2 hours that went by pretty quick. High lights were Dan Quayle front row center for the show. He left after intermission. Cheap Trick closed out part 1 and was backed by Alices band, Alice said that he practiced with the band doing the vocals during the week. They did "I want you to want me", "California man" and "Surrender". Gin Blossoms did a nice set of 3 and Roger Clyne and the peacemakers did a nice set. Glen Cambell did "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Little drummer boy" on the bagpipes.Sinbad was funny as were most of the comedians.Sinbad introduced Nugent who did 2 songs "Klstrphnky" and "Wang dang sweet poontang" with his touring drummer and Alices bassist then had Jack Blades come out for "Cat Scratch Fever". He then brought out Shaw and Cartellone for 3 more Damn Yankees songs. These guys were hot and on the money. They did "Dont tread on me", "High enough" and "Coming of age". Funny bit where Shaw and Blades did a countryfied Eighteen on acoustic guitar which Nugent grabbed then smashed on stage. Alices set was "No more mr nice guy", "Eighteen", "Be My Lover" and "Schools out". Damn Yankees joined Alices band with Glen Campbell for a smoking "Run Rudolph Run" which featured solos from everyone and A few others joined in on Jingle bells as the finale. Pudding was chocolate and the show opened with some guy in a medival outfit and mask doing bells which were set up on this huge contraption. The other guests were locals and were pretty good but it was the Damn Yankees night. Hard to believe how good the harmonys and all were. Jessi Colter(Waylon Jennings wife) did a couple of nice songs including a cool bluesy version of Silent Night. They handed some magazine called Risen out pre show that had this pro christian interview of Alice. Some of it was weird because Alice said some stuff that was off the mark in the interview. Worth the money and it was time well spent. Emcees were Mike Wilson, Mark Cordes, and Danny Zelisko. Exclusive Eric Dover Interview
Personal Appearance CanceledThe Meet And Greet at Airpark Chrysler tomorrow appears to be canceled. New Dennis InterviewThe Litchfield County Times has a new interview with Dennis Dunaway in which he discusses his new solo project that he is currently working on, plus ACG history and other stories. Definitly worth aread. Monster Dog on DVDAccording to Blabbermouth.net Monster Dog will get an official US DVD release on February 15th through Eclectic DVD and Jef Films. No info if there will be any extras yet, or if this will get a UK release as well.
